FHSU names 2002-2003 Student Ambassadors

Anderson VIP Student Ambassadors are a select group of student leaders who serve as official representatives at Fort Hays State University events.

Undergraduate students who have been enrolled at FHSU at least one semester or who are transferring from another college or university are eligible to apply. Ambassadors are chosen on the basis of communication skills, knowledge of the campus and willingness to share their time and enthusiasm for FHSU with guests. Each Anderson VIP Student Ambassador must be enrolled as a full-time student and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.5.

The ambassadors assist President and Mrs. Hammond in entertaining university guests at activities such as athletic events, visits of the Board of Regents and other officials and special events for alumni, friends and members of the community. In addition to this volunteer service, the ambassadors participate in the annual Tiger Call phonathon to raise funds for scholarships, and they sponsor a team during Special Olympics.
