Jellison receives honorary appointment as special adjunct professor of political science and justice studies

Dr. Bill Jellison, long-time administrator at Fort Hays State University, has been appointed a special adjunct professor of political science and justice studies in honor of his decades of service to and support for the university.

Jellison was nominated for the honor by Dr. Richard Heil, chair of the Department of Political Science and Justice Studies. The appointment was signed by Dr. Larry Gould, FHSU Provost.

Jellison graduated from FHSU in 1951 with a bachelor of science in botany and earned a master of science degree in education in 1952. His doctorate was earned from the University of Colorado in 1965.

His official career at FHSU began in 1960 as dean of men. In 1966 he became dean of students and finally, in 1977, vice president of Student Affairs.

He received an Alumni Achievement Award in 2000.
