FHSU faculty music recital set for Sept. 18

HAYS, KS --- Faculty and friends of Fort Hays State University's Department of Music will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center.

The evening will include works by J.S. Bach, Romberg, Ponchielli, Beethoven, Nazareth, Busser, Sarasate, Bozza and a recent composition by Department of Music Chair Dr. Tim Crowley.

Performers for the event are FHSU faculty members Barbara Robinson, instructor of music, on the flute; Dr. Dan Delisi, associate professor of music, on the cello and guitar; Dr. Junghwa Lee, assistant professor of music, on the piano; Kristin Pisano on the clarinet; Dr. Martin Shapiro, professor of music, on the guitar; Ferenc Cseszko, assistant professor of music, on the violin; and Brad Dawson, assistant professor of music, on the trumpet.

These performers will be assisted by Jessica Schumacher, Hays senior, on the flute, James Pisano on the clarinet and Tom Meagher on the piano.

The event will begin at 8 p.m. in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall. Children 12 and under and FHSU students with a valid ID will be admitted free. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and children over 12.
