FHSU's Everhart to speak at international conference

Fort Hays State University's Michael Everhart, adjunct curator of vertebrate paleontology at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, will be an invited speaker at the international conference of scientists in September at Chubu University in Nagoya, Japan.

Everhart will present a paper titled "Rapid Ontogenic Change in Late Cretaceous Mosasaurs as a Model of Vertebrate Morphogenesis."

The conference is sponsored by many scientific organizations in Japan and the United Kingdom and will include several scientist speakers from countries including Germany, Australia, Sweden, India and the Czech Republic.

Also during his trip to Japan, Everhart will give a presentation to the Japanese Mathematical Biology Conference in Hokkaido, as well as review scientific specimens in several Japanese museums.
