Four faculty members at Fort Hays State University have been named finalists for the Navigator Award, which was created in 1998 to recognize outstanding academic advising.
This year's finalists are Joleen Briggs, coordinator for interdisciplinary studies; Gayla Lohfink, instructor of teacher education; Roland Neseth, interim chair of the Department of Allied Health; and Dr. Robert Meier, chair of the Department of Computer and Information Systems.
Advisors are nominated for this award by graduating seniors during the spring 2002 semester. After interviewing the finalists, senior members of the Student Government Association and the Student Alumni Association determine the winner.
All four finalists will be honored at the Graduate Faculty Brunch on May 17. The winner will be announced at FHSU's Commencement ceremony at 10 a.m. on May 18 in Gross Memorial Coliseum.
