Centennial History Panels rotate to new locations

Fort Hays State University's Centennial History Panels have changed locations for May.
The history panels were created by John Ross, director of FHSU's Forsyth Library, and other library staff to commemorate the university's Centennial.

Six sets are now on exhibit.

The eight panels on display at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, 3000 Sternberg Drive, include a set of three on campus life through the 100 years of FHSU history and a five-panel set depicting Alumni Award winners down through the years.

A five-panel exhibit on winter sports moved to Commerce Bank, 718 Main St.

Emprise Bank, 1200 Main, is now displaying five panels on the buildings of FHSU.

A three-panel exhibit on class life is at Wal-Mart, North U.S. 183.

At First National Bank, 1100 Fort St., are four panels on fall sports.

The panels stay in each location for approximately one month. All the panels will return to campus for the month of June for official 100th birthday celebrations. In August, the panels will again begin rotating to sites around the community.
