Physics professors keep busy in the summer

Two professors in the Physics Department at Fort Hays State University will take advantage of the summer by participating in research projects.

Dr. Kayvan Aflatooni, assistant professor of physics, will work at the Atomic and Molecular Laboratories at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, for most of the summer. In collaboration with Dr. Herman Batelean, he will assemble an apparatus to observe free electron interference.

Dr. Ken Trantham, assistant professor of physics, will work at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Newport News, VA, and also at the Atomic and Molecular Laboratories at the University of Nebraska.
