Fort Hays State University faculty and visiting scholars from China made presentations at the recent 2006 U.S.-China Forum on Distance Learning in Troy, AL.

"Bridging Distance: Creating Opportunities Through Educational Partnerships" was presented by Dr. Carrol Haggard, chair of the Communication Studies Department; Dr. Margaret Butcher, assistant professor of communication studies; Cindy Elliott, assistant provost for strategic partnerships and dean of distance learning; Dr. Xian Zhang, visiting scholar from Shenyang Normal University; and Wei Wang, graduate student from Sias International University. The presentation covered policies that have evolved in order to provide high quality American education in a Chinese environment.

The presentation also covered programs and FHSU graduate employment options in China.
