Dr. Sue Jacobs, assistant director of teacher education at Fort Hays State University, was recently elected vice president of the Kansas Reading Professionals in Higher Education.

"I am thrilled to have the opportunity to serve on the executive board of such a prestigious organization," said Jacobs.

KRPHE acts as the voice for professionals in reading and language arts in colleges and universities of Kansas on matters concerning improvement of instruction in reading.

Jacobs also recently attended the Kansas Reading Conference "Threads of Literacy" in Topeka. During the conference, Jacobs presented "Sowing Words of Wisdom Through William Allen White." She also attended several professional development seminars.
