Fort Hays State University's Sigma Xi Chapter will host the sixth Annual Science Research Showcase on Wednesday, April 26, in the Memorial Union.
The public is invited.
This event is separate from the Research and Creative Activity Week, which will occur at the same time.
Sponsored by the provost's office and the graduate school, faculty and students are invited to display posters describing their scientific research projects and their results.
"The last five showcases were a success, and we are hoping this year will bring more posters illustrating the interesting and exciting scientific research happening at FHSU," said Dr. Elmer Finck, chair of the Department of Biological Sciences. "Faculty and students working on science projects are urged to submit a poster. This is an excellent opportunity to show off your work while gaining constructive feedback from colleagues."
Some or all poster printing costs will be covered.
Refreshments will be provided, and cash prizes for the best posters in undergraduate and graduate students will be awarded.
For more information on specifications and deadlines for posters, go to http://www.fhsu.edu/currentevents/showcase/ or contact Finck at (785) 628-4214 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
