Fort Hays State University alumna Dr. P. Kay Duncan was recently honored for her excellence in instruction at Emporia State University, where she is an associate professor in the Division of School Leadership/Middle and Secondary Teacher Education.
The award recognized Duncan's professionalism in and out of the classroom; her challenging and thought-provoking classroom discussions and assignments; and her encouragement of students to make a difference in their own classrooms.
Duncan received her bachelor's degree from Kansas State University. She received her master's degree in educational administration from FHSU in 1982. Duncan earned a doctor of education degree from the University of Kansas. She began at Emporia State University in 1994.
