Two FHSU students land internships at Sprint

HAYS, KS -- Two Fort Hays State University information networking and telecommunications students have been awarded summer internships at Sprint.

Joseph White, Hill City senior, will work in the information technology support area of Sprint Publishing. Jeremiah Nordling, Hutchinson senior, will test phone lines for Digital Subscriber Services.

Dr. Mark Bannister, chair of the Department of Information Networking and Telecommunications, said internships at Sprint are valuable not only for their excellent pay but also for the experience they provide.

"This is an exciting honor for these students," Bannister said. "Sprint selects students from a nationwide pool of university talent. Only the best and brightest have the opportunity for these internships.

"Fort Hays State University has a number of information networking and telecommunications alumni at Sprint, and we look forward to that number growing."
