FHSU National Broadcasting Society members attend national convention

HAYS, KS -- Five members of the Fort Hays State University National Broadcasting Society attended the annual NBS/Alpha Epsilon Rho Honor Society national convention in Atlanta from March 20-23.

Students attended sessions on "Ethical Issues in Reporting a National Tragedy" and "Running a Regional Sports Network" as well as workshops for career development and NBS chapter leadership.

Keynote addresses were delivered by CNN News Anchor Kris Osborn, ABC-TV News Correspondent Steve Osunsami, CNN National Correspondent Gary Tuchman and Lou Waters, managing editor/host of the television program "Investing in America."

The students also toured Atlanta media facilities, including WSB-TV and CNN world headquarters.
