HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Spring Music Project will host its final concert of the year at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center.
The concert will feature Sophia Gibbs Kim, a flutist from the Eastman School of Music; Melissa Burton, a cellist from Houghton College; FHSU's Dr. Junghwa Lee, piano, and FHSU's Dr. Ferenc Cseszko, violin.
Ticket prices are $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children age 13-18. All students 12 and under and FHSU students receive free admission.
Faculty recitals for the month of April will feature Kristin Pisano, clarinet, at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 11; and Dr. Dan Delisi, cello, at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 18. Both events will take place at Beach/Schmidt.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for senior citizens and children age 13-18. All students 12 and under and FHSU students receive free admission.
The High School Honors Recital is scheduled at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 21. High school finalists are Tara Bowen, Valley Center, violin; Lindsay Kraisinger, Claflin, soprano; Jennifer Horchem, Ransom, piano; Adam Peithman, Hebron, NE., organ; and Brian Flescher, Lawrence, marimba.
This event is free and open to the public.
Brad Dawson will direct the Spring Jazz Ensembles Concert in Beach/Schmidt at 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25.
