HAYS, KS -- The Fourth Annual Interior Design Exhibition will open Sunday, April 28, from 2-4 p.m. in Fort Hays State University's Moss-Thorns Gallery in Rarick Hall.
Showcasing the work of interior design students, the exhibition will include models, renderings, perspectives, designer chairs, floor plans, material boards and national contest entries. Wolf Furniture Gallery will provide furniture for the vignettes which will be displayed along with the projects.
To accompany the opening, the interior design studio and computer and resource labs will be open for viewing. These rooms have been re-designed by the students over the past three years to reflect a unique contemporary design. The faux finish resembles cobblestone in the resource lab; the computer lab has a painted area rug and faux wood floor.
In conjunction with the show, the FHSU chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers and the Kelly Center will sponsor a guest speaker at 10 a.m. on April 30 in the Moss-Thorns Gallery. The topic of the lecture will be "Universal Design."
The interior design exhibition runs from April 28 through May 2. Moss-Thorns Gallery, located on the first floor of Rarick Hall, is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
