HAYS, KS -- Research conducted by several professors in Fort Hays State University's Department of Health and Human Performance has been accepted for publication.
"Teacher Attitudes and Attributes Concerning Disabilities" was accepted for publication in the summer issue of The Academic Exchange Quarterly. The research was conducted by Dr. Jeff Briggs, chair of the Department of Health and Human Performance; Dr. Steve Sedbrook, associate professor of health and human performance; and Duane Shepherd, assistant professor of health and human performance.
The spring issue of the journal of the Kansas Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance included the article "Upper Extremity Peak Torque Values and Throwing Velocity in Intercollegiate Baseball Pitchers" by Briggs, Dr. Greg Kandt, associate professor of health and human performance, and Dr. Jeff Burnett, assistant professor of health and human performance.
Briggs, with three faculty members from Baylor University, published "Gender Comparisons of Social Physique Anxiety and Perceived Fitness in a College Population" in Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport.
