Fort Hays State University's Western Kansas String Academy invites the public to its winter concert at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall on the campus of FHSU.
Students from kindergarten through high school age will perform a wide range of music from "Twinkle, Twinkle" to Tchaikovsky's "Serenade for Strings," gypsy violin and Mozart quartets.
The WKSA, a Saturday morning music educational program, is hosted by the Department of Music at FHSU. It sponsors four youth orchestras, a group guitar class, chamber ensembles, music appreciation classes, private lessons, and perfomance opportunities for string students of all ages and abilities.
