HAYS, KS -- Six sororities and fraternities commemorated a year of achievement, academics and fun during the annual Greek Week celebration held March 4-8 on the Fort Hays State University campus.
The week's activities included an awards banquet, an impromptu skit night, a day dedicated to community philanthropy and a barbecue at the Sigma Chi fraternity house.
Several students were recognized for their academic achievement at the awards banquet on Monday, March 4. Jaymie Scott, Hays junior, and Travis Schmidt, Victoria senior, were recognized as Outstanding Greek Woman and Man, respectively. Jennifer Pagel, Holton, and Steve Vance, Dighton, received the Outstanding Greek Senior awards.
Fraternity and sorority members were also honored for Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Scholastic Achievement by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. These students are listed below by hometown and classification.
