HAYS, KS -- Greg Liggett, Fort Hays State University's assistant director of Sternberg Museum of Natural History, recently accepted a Merit Award for FHSU at the Governor's Conference on Tourism in Topeka.

The museum earned a Merit Award in the individual attraction or event category for its success with the traveling exhibit "A T-rex Named Sue." Travelers from nearly every state made their way to Hays to experience the exhibit, setting new records for attendance.

Currently the museum is offering a new traveling exhibit, "Jurassic Park: Life and Death of Dinosaurs," until May 5, 2002. For more information on the new exhibit visit the Web site at www.jparkdinos.com.
