FHSU nursing professor Davidson selected as consultant for national nurse practitioner organization

HAYS, KS -- Dr. Janice Unruh Davidson, professor of nursing at Fort Hays State University, has been named to a two-year post as a national nurse practitioner curricular consultant.

Davidson was chosen through a competitive process to participate in the two-year program sponsored by the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculties. Criteria for the selection included: national nurse practitioner board certification, active status in both faculty role and practice role for at least five years, and service as a national accreditation site visitor such as Davidson has provided the past three years for the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.

Letters of support regarding Davidson's consultative record were provided by selected university and college presidents from previous curricular consultations conducted by Davidson. Media photos are available on request or online at www.fhsu.edu/nursing/faculty/.
