Centennial History Panels rotate to new locations

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Centennial History Panels have changed locations and will change again in April.

The history panels were created by John Ross, director of FHSU's Forsyth Library, and other library staff to commemorate the university's Centennial.

Five sets are now on exhibit.

The set of eight panels on display at the Sternberg Museum of Natural History, 3000 Sternberg Drive, depict the eight presidents of the university and key accomplishments during their administrations.

A five-panel exhibit on Alumni Achievement Award Winners moved to Commerce Bank, 718 Main St.

Emprise Bank, 1200 Main St., is now displaying a five-panel exhibit on winter sports highlights of the last 100 years.

A three-panel exhibit on campus life is at Sunflower Bank, 1010 E. 27th St., and First National Bank, 1100 Fort St., is exhibiting a four-panel set on teaching and class life at FHSU during its first 100 years.

The panels will stay in the designated areas for approximately one month and will then rotate to a new location.
