FHSU art students' work accepted into drawing exhibition

HAYS, KS -- Three out of five Fort Hays State University art students were accepted into the 2002 National Drawing Exhibition at the University of Hawaii, Hilo, Hawaii. The show was open to graduate and undergraduate students throughout the U.S.

The exhibit began this month in Hawaii and will continue through April.

Students whose drawings were accepted were Devin Goldworm, Ashland special graduate, who was accepted into the competition using pen and ink and colored pencil. Chris Cooksey, Maize graduate student, used graphite and Sang-Su Lee, Hays graduate student, used mixed media, a combination of several materials.

The juror judging the competition was Leon Hicks, professor emeritus of Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
