FHSU's Bock receives grant for zinc research

HAYS, KS -- Dr. Brittany Bock, assistant professor of agriculture at Fort Hays State University, has received a $3,000 grant from Zinpro Inc. to conduct research on the effects of zinc on cattle performance.

Her research will involve varying levels and sources of zinc in cattle food supply. The research will be conducted jointly with John Brethour of the Kansas State University Agricultural Research Station in Hays.

Zinpro Inc. is a manufacturer of trace mineral supplements for livestock and is based in Minneapolis, MN.
