FHSU professor, two students on exhibit Dec. 7 at Hays Arts Council

HAYS, KS -- The Hays Arts Council will display two exhibits beginning Friday, Dec. 9, featuring work from one Fort Hays State University professor and two FHSU students.

The Solo Exhibition will feature "Characters of a Lesser Mythology" by Sondra Schwetman, assistant professor of art. This exhibition will feature both sculpture and jewelry research funded in part by Small Research Grants from the Graduate School at FHSU.

The Bachelor of Fine Arts Exhibition will feature work from Andrew Nolan, St. Francis special graduate, and Jennifer Mettlen, Sylvan Grove senior. Nolan will display his "Deadly Beauty" and Mettlen will display "The Personal Evolution of Containment."

Both exhibitions will begin at the free reception from 7-9 p.m. at the Hays Art Council, 112 E. 11th St. These exhibits will run through Jan. 4.
