HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Winds will present their final concert of the semester at 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center.
General admission tickets can be purchased for $6 and senior citizens and youth tickets for $4.
The Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Michael C. Robinson, assistant professor of music, will perform works by composers Jack Stamp, "Pastime"; Frank Ticheli, "An American Elegy"; Yariv Nachman, "The Match of Hope"; Leroy Anderson, "Sleigh Ride"; and Alfred Reed, "The Music Makers."
Symphonic Winds, under the direction of Dr. Robert Conger, assistant professor of music, will perform works by composers Alfred Reed, "Russian Christmas Music"; William Latham, "Brighton Beach"; David Holsinger, "A Hymnsong on Lowell Mason"; and Henderson, "A Canadian Brass Christmas."
