Lettermen come to FHSU through Encore Series
11/09/2001

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Encore Series will present the Lettermen, a vocal group which has received nine gold albums and several top singles, on Monday, Nov. 19, at 8 p.m. in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center.

With thousands of sold out shows and universal appeal the Lettermen are constantly sending out valentines to their audiences with each note of every love song. The vocal group sings a mixture of original material and cover songs from "The Way You Look Tonight" through current hits of today.

Whether singing a cappella or backed by an entire symphony orchestra, the Lettermen theme still remains the love song. Lending that well-known harmony to every arrangement, they have proved that love ballads have an appeal that knows no boundaries and will continue to stand the test of time.

Lettermen members are Tony Butala, Donovan Tea and Darren Dowler.

Tickets for the Lettermen are available at the Student Service Center in the Memorial Union. The cost for reserved tickets is $16 for the general public, $14 for senior citizens and children under 18 and $12 for FHSU students. Unreserved tickets are $12, $10 and $8 respectively.
