FHSU's Forsyth Library offers new training sessions

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Forsyth Library is offering a new, free training service for Kansas high school students and faculty.

The training sessions will focus on how to use the library and its resources for research. High school students and faculty will become familiar with the online journals, databases and books available through the library.

"We had about 400 high school students visit our facility last year," said John Ross, director of Forsyth Library.

The library estimates that more than 1,000 students will visit this academic year. As part of the tours, students will be issued a library card that will remain authorized for one year and the library will provide free coffee and cappuccino coupons for faculty members and selected free FHSU merchandise for the students.

To schedule free student group tours, contact Lynn Haggard, patron services coordinator, at (785) 628-5566 or by e-mail at lhaggard@fhsu.edu.
