Delta Zeta initiates

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's chapter of the Delta Zeta Sorority initiated three women into its ranks on Nov. 18.

Delta Zeta is one of the largest college chapters in the nation and a top ranking sorority internationally. They have 165 college chapters and 250 alumni chapters.

The primary focus of Delta Zeta is to the Delta Zeta Foundation for the speech and hearing impaired.

The following students were admitted to the sorority, 410 W. Sixth St., Hays, KS, after an eight-week education period:

April Brown is a 2001 St. Francis Community High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Brown, St. Francis, plans a career in finance.

Kiedra Riedel is a 2001 St. Francis Community High School graduate and FHSU freshman. Riedel, daughter of Mrs. Delores Jenik, St. Francis, plans a career in elementary education.

Rebecca Wailes is a 2000 Strasburg High School graduate and FHSU junior. Wailes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wailes, Strasburg, CO, plans a career in art.
