Cathedral Concert at St. Fidelis Church in Victoria set for Dec. 6

HAYS, KS -- Fort Hays State University's Department of Music will sponsor its 19th annual Cathedral Concert at St. Fidelis Church in Victoria on Thursday, Dec. 6.

This year's concert will feature the FHSU Concert Choir, Fort Hays Singers, Hays Community Choir and the Hays High School Chamber Singers. Each choir will present a portion of the program. For the finale, they will combine to sing carols. The audience will also sing carols throughout the concert.

The FHSU choirs will be directed by Dr. Rager H. Moore II, assistant professor of music, and the Hays High Chamber Singers will be directed by Johnny Matlock. The following FHSU professors will assist: trumpeter Bradley Dawson, assistant professor of music; organist Thomas Meagher, Hays community member; violinists Dr. Ferenc Cseszko, assistant professor of music, and Barbara Robinson, instructor of music.
