Dr. Tom Jackson to deliver address at Honors Convocation Program

HAYS, KS -- Dr. Tom Jackson, professor of psychology and dean of Graduate Studies and Research and vice provost at Fort Hays State University, will deliver an address on "The Vicissitudes of Human Social Behavior" at the Honors Convocation Program at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, in the Black and Gold Ballroom at the university's Memorial Union.

Jackson's address will come after he is introduced by FHSU President Edward H. Hammond as the 2001 President's Distinguished Scholar, the highest award given by the university.

The President's Distinguished Scholar receives, in addition to a medallion, a check for $1,000, a certificate and a lapel pin. The scholarly address at the Honors Convocation Program is the duty of the presidential scholar.
