HAYS, KS -- The 24th Annual Agricultural Outlook Conference will take place at Fort Hays State University in the Memorial Union ballroom on Friday, Nov. 9.
The conference will begin with a presentation by Jason Henderson, an economist at the Center for the Study of Rural America at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He will discuss the reversal in the United States and agricultural economies.
Dale Moore, chief of staff to Agriculture Secretary Ann Veneman, will provide an update on activities from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The outlook for grain and livestock markets will be presented by Andrew Gottschalk, senior vice-president for R.J. O'Brien and Associates and owner of HedgersEdge.com, LLC, and Bob Wilson, market analyst for R.J. O'Brien and Associates and HedgersEdge.com.
Cost of the conference is $40 and the registration deadline is Nov. 6 for persons interested in attending the luncheon. Registration and a continental breakfast will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by a welcome from Dr. Carl Parker, professor of economics and finance.
